We are in agreement that there is a wealth of environmental wisdom available from cultures that have maintained aboriginal knowledge to present day. My remarks were not intended to denegrate the value of that wisdom, but rather to point out (a) that such wisdom is difficult to maintain in an urban setting, and (b) members of non-native cultures who live close to nature can reconnect to that wisdom more easily than native or non-native urban dwellers. The preceeding represents my personal opinion, and may not necessarily reflect the viewpoint of OWN's Executive Committee and/or constituant organizations.
